New Trophy Sires
We have some new Trophy Sire's added to our Trophy page.
The team at Peel Forest Estate have enormous respect for the deer and unquestionable dedication to the work. Put simply, Red Deer is part of who we are.
Mark Tapley
Red deer really is in the DNA of Mark Tapley, the second-generation owner who literally grew-up at Peel Forest Estate. Today, he is the Managing Director and the Stud Manager, overseeing all breeding decisions and organising the annual embryo transplant and artificial insemination programmes. He also runs our export programme, coordinating the logistics with clients around the world to satisfy the needs of their individual operations. Mark’s reputation as an early-adopter of new technology and a genuine innovator positions him at the forefront of the deer industry globally.
Graham Carr
Peel Forest Estate was the vision of Graham Carr, step-father of Mark Tapley, and the man who purchased the property back in 1987.
Graham’s energy and drive transformed the estate from a cattle and sheep farm into an internationally renowned Red Deer stud with bloodlines from Croatia, Germany, Hungary and England. His passion for his work has benefitted the entire industry, introducing some of the most potent genetics ever seen.
Dr Mike Bringans
Dr Mike Bringans specialises in artificial insemination, semen collection and embryo transfer across all cervid and exotic species. His work with the reproduction of wildlife has helped him develop a degree of knowledge and expertise which is, quite simply, peerless.
Today, Dr Mike works with three teams around the world. That team is made up of highly-educated and vastly experienced individuals, including veterinarians who have also been wildlife farmers themselves.
Deer farming and breeding is complex work, particularly when you’re striving to get maximum productivity from your genetics.
